The decade rewards conviction, not volume
Capital has never been cheaper to deploy or harder to deploy well. The funds that compound are not the ones that write the most checks — they are the ones that select hardest and stay closest. We would rather own a meaningful share of five companies we understand completely than a sliver of fifty we don’t.
That is why we cap ourselves at five investments a year, concentrate on the seed stage, and measure a founder before we measure a market.
